Last Few Weeks

These last few weeks we have been really busy:
1. We got back from our amazing cruise to the Western Carribean. It was a fun and a much needed trip.
2. We celebrated my mom's and my birthdays by going to Jackson Hole Wyoming and rafting down the snake river (which was a blast) then we went and ate at Bubba's! It is a barbeque place that is to die for! If you are ever in Jackson go to Bubba's you won't regret it. Andrew also took me on a picnic up to one of my favorite spots called Big Fall up past Labarge. It was the best birthday!

3. We bought a truck to pull our boat that we boat earlier this year. Andrew is very excited and I do have to say that I don't mind it either. Andrew drives my car to work so I get to drive the big truck around.

4. We have been hunting a lot which takes up most of our time. I can't believe I forgot what hunting season consists of. Let me just tell you; we wake up at 3:30 or 4:00 in the morning, drive to get to where we need to hike in then we start the 3 mile up hill trek to where we are going to sit and watch for deer feeding when the sun comes up (which is really beautiful) then if we find a deer we try and find a better shot which usually consists of Andrew picking everything up and running down the mountain and me trying not to die while I try to keep up to him. Then we shoot and after that we head up the other side of the mountain to look for blood, no blood, then we continue to hike through fallen trees and rocks and all sorts of obstacles. Then we hike back down to the truck in the rain and start this process all over again the next day. Once we get the animal, there is the gutting and boning out the meat, then the hike back and then we get to cut it up and package it. Now this part is the part that I always forget, Andrew gets to tell each and everyone of his brothers, dad and friends about the hunt and the whole story about how he killed the animal which means he is on the phone most of the time and I get to listen to the story 15 times but I guess that means I will have the story down to a T when someone asks me about it right?! This year we were lucky enough to both get deer.
I got a 24in 3 point this year on our first day of hunting which was really fun. Andrew also got his deer after a long hunt. On one day we hiked 12 miles and I'm not talking about just light hiking it was straight up mountains and straight down them all day chasing this deer. Then we went back and only hiked 7 miles still didn't get the darn deer. Then Andrew went back on Tuesday while I was at work and got the deer, I was sad I missed it but I'm glad he got it! It is a very nice looking deer. 2 deer down 4 elk to go! Wish me luck!

Oh I guess I should tell you that Andrew does let me take a nap when we are looking for deer. He knows that I am a happier person if I have my sleep. :)
5. Andrew and I have been spending a lot of time together and it has been so much fun. Andrew is so patient, loving and has the best sense of humor. He makes me so happy! I love spending time with him and I am so stinkin excited to spend eternity with him I am so blessed to have him as my eternal companion!! I love you Andrew!
